Eccl 3:1-8; Gen 1; 1 Chronicles; Luke 1:1-25

Eccl 3:1-8
These 8 verses cover a whole lot of what we have time for. Especially when we are "under the heavens". Before, the Preacher/Teacher was talking about everything being meaningless "under the sun". But now, he shows us what is meaningful "under the heavens". Some of these statements are confusing and I initially was confused on why that was godly or at least something that happened under the heavens. Reading this helps me dwell on the subtleties of the language used here and how that translates to action in our lives. Time to tear down? Time to laugh? Or maybe even Time to scatter stones and a time to gather them? Time to tear and a time to mend?" A time to love and a time to hate? A lot of these sound really strange. Why are we suppose to hate? Why are we suppose to scatter stones or even tear down? I think it is important to realized that there is a time for everything. And using these at the right time is very important.

1 Chronicles 1
One part of many chapters listing Genealogies. Hard to keep track of the family tree and how all of them are interconnected or through family.

Luke 1:1-25
Awesome how we see the Gospel of John, at least a little bit. Zechariah had to trust in the Lord that these things will come true, despite how old him and his wife were. "In these days he has shown his favor and taken away my disgrace among the people."
